Every attendee at the rally must fill out and sign a KawaNOW Rally Waiver located below. The waiver must be filled out in full and turned in to the Rally Leader or Co-Rally Leader before the rally or at the rally first thing at registration.

In order to provide the highest level of safety for rally attendees, it is suggested that each attendee print out, and fill out a KawaNOW ICE form located below. After filling it out, this form is to be folded and stored in the rider's mesh pocket located in the left hard bag of their Nomad. In case of an emergency, this form can help authorities or KawaNOW members locate emergency contacts and aid in treating the rider if hospitalized.

Considerable care has been taken into the planning and execution of all KawaNOW Events and Planned Rides. However, the KawaNOW Membership, KawaNOW Leadership, KawaNOW Staff and KawaNOW Webmaster are unable to provide any warranty or guarantee concerning the safety for participants in such activities. KawaNOW activities are voluntary and all KawaNOW Membership, KawaNOW Leadership, KawaNOW Staff and KawaNOW Webmaster shall be held harmless in the event of any and all outcomes of such activities and events. Your attendance at such events and activities will be considered proof that you have read and understand this disclaimer.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS FOR THE 2011 RALLY CAN NOW BE MADE
The 2011 National KawaNOW Rally will be held in Maggie Valley, NC.
The Maggie Valley Inn and Conference Center http://www.maggievalleyhotel.com/index-html.html will serve as the base headquarters for the 2011 KawaNOW Rally. The phone number for the hotel, and to make reservations, is (866) 926-0201. The rooms are blocked under the name "KawaNOW". You will need to mention KawaNOW when making your reservation. I encourage you to make your reservations now if you think you want to stay at the base hotel.
The rate is $69/night plus tax for a double and $79/night for king rooms. The rooms are blocked for checkin 6/13 through checkout 6/17. If you are coming early or staying later these rates should apply also.
CoachA is working on a campground that is close by and will have information on that soon. There are several smaller hotels in the area if we overrun the availability of the base hotel.
This facility has onsite dining, a lounge, a pool with a tiki-bar and TV's outside for after the riding is over for the day. No need to ride after the celebration of the day begins. There is a large parking lot, limited covered parking, a wash area, and cleaning/drying/wipedown rags will be provided. The main downtown strip in Maggie Valley is about 2 miles away.
From Maggie Valley:
- Access to the Blue Ridge Parkway is within about 15 minutes
- Deals Gap is a little over an hour
- Mt. Mitchell (highest peak east of the Mississippi)is about 1hr 45 minutes
- tons of some of the countries best riding roads.
We will be planning and announcing the rides soon. They will include the Blue Ridge Parkway and a trip to Deal's Gap plus others to be determined.

Just as an FYI to everyone as we are working on the itinerary:
The 14th will be a full day of rides just like the last National at Custer........If you can, you may want to plan to arrive on the afternoon of the 13th
. We are looking into having a welcome dinner/cookout at the hotel the night of the 13th. We will probably have the first group ride(s) beginning first thing on the 14th.

BRP Ride will stop at several scenic overlooks and for lunch and fuel in Asheville at MR Motorcycles. Lunch will be sponsored by ROK!! We will go to the visitors center on top of Mt. Mitchell (6684 ft). It will be cool...bring a coat. We will return on the BRP to Maggie Valley. Each way provides a completely different ride and view.

Waterfalls ride will stop at several scenic areas and falls. Lunch willl be in Brevard NC at the Pisgah Fish Camp (Buffet or menu..Thursday is fried chicken day on the buffet but they have seafood and other selections on the menu that can be ordered. About $7 to $10 per person). We will also have a fuel stop.

The Lodge at Camp NewLife, Waynesville NC (10-15 minute ride from MV Inn)
